# How campaign progress works

> See when visits or points start counting toward a reward.

A campaign starts counting for a member when their first qualifying action brings them in. Earlier visits and points don't carry into that campaign.

For a **Visits** goal, Hydra counts recorded check-ins from then on. For a **Points** goal, it counts points earned from then on, rather than reading the member's current points balance. A welcome campaign uses **Joining** as its action.

## Repeating and linked goals

A **Punch card** starts another round after each completed goal. If you link two campaigns, finishing the first lets the member enter the second. Their count starts again in the second campaign.

**Deadline to finish** limits the time a member has to reach the goal. **Reward expires** starts after they've earned it. Check both dates when you explain the offer to members.

## When the goal is reached

Reaching a goal records the reward, but doesn't currently send your business's display voucher on WhatsApp. Retailer reward delivery depends on your business's setup. Confirm with Hydra how members will receive the reward before announcing the campaign.
