# See recent member activity

> Use recorded visits to choose who you want to contact.

**Activity** in Hydra Desk and Hydra Merchant shows member additions and staff check-ins. A member's web profile shows their visit count and latest recorded visit.

When you choose recipients in **Messaging**, you can narrow the list by how long it's been since their last activity:

| Filter | Last recorded activity |
| - | - |
| **Past week** | Within 7 days. |
| **Past month** | More than 7 and up to 30 days ago. |
| **Lapsed** | More than 30 and up to 90 days ago. |
| **Dormant** | More than 90 days ago, or no recorded activity. |

Choose **All** to see everyone. The filters are separate groups, so **Past month** doesn't include **Past week**.

A recent visit doesn't necessarily mean you can message someone now. The recipient list shows **No recent reply** or **Opted out** when that affects your send. [Send to selected members](/messaging/send-to-members) explains what those labels mean.
